scientistsinistral: White teapot pouring red tea into a white cup with saucer (tea)

For the first loose leaf, I cold brewed some sencha. I used 10g to about 750ml of water, which was... too much water, and the flavour was quite diluted. It looked like this in the cold brew bottle and then decanted into a jug, because I didn't start taking photos of it in my nice round glass until the next time.

Verdict and more notes under the cut.

Prefacing this by saying this is not an accurate verdict because I did it wrong, as I would not learn for another few days.

Verdict: I screwed up my face after most sips, internally going 'I don't know what I think about this'. Still getting used to the aftertaste of green tea, though I would like to like it. Just might take a while.

Lessons Learned: If you have some left, don't leave it out overnight, y'all. Bacteria can get in through the open spout (thankfully, the sip I took in the morning before realising that was probably a bad idea did not make me ill) and it turns brown even if it was green beforehand when brewed.

Would I drink it again? Maybe. I'm editing this about 2 weeks (12th June) after trying it and having the revelation that I might be screwing up with my cold brew method, so I do want to try some sencha hot to see if that changes things. But... it's quite plain, and I think if I'm gonna go green I'll go for flavoured greens.
