In the interest of 100 Fandoms, I've been looking at old medias I've consumed in the past for fic ideas and also looking for new things. Here's a couple of things that are currently on the brain right now!

The Young Victoria (2009) is a film I watched years ago, and it's a fictionalised version of the youth, coronation and marriage of Queen Victoria. I was thinking about it whilst listening to a podcast episode of 'Art of History' by Amanda Matta, on a painting Victoria had commissioned as a gift for Albert (the two apparently really liked gifting each other art as presents, and honestly, who wouldn't.) The film takes some artistic liberties, but the scene near the end where Albert takes a bullet for Victoria (whilst not historical, although the assassination attempts definitely were) always stuck in my brain. So... I need to watch the film again, but very likely that there'll be a fic there in the future.

Tears of Themis is a visual novel type game where you play an attorney who then gets drawn into a deeper conspiracy, alongsie four handsome men. It's a gacha game by the same people who made Genshin Impact, which is another big fave of mine at the moment (as people who take a look at my recent AO3 posting will notice.) It helps that one of the boys, Artem Wing, and also my favourite one at the moment, has the same voice actor as my favourite boy from Genshin, which like... fic is also happening there. There's even a sickfic story I just unlocked between him and the MC which tickled me pink. But the dynamics between the characters are cute, even if the plot is more dark as time goes on. And some of the arguments the MC has as a lawyer are very... lawyerish.

Munich - The Edge of War (2022) is fictionalised adaptation of a novel set during the Munich Conference. Came to this one for George Mackay (for those who don't know about the 1917 habit I had last year, here is your notice) I haven't actually finished it yet, got about 40 mins left, and it's not a stellar film for me, but I am decently engaged. It helps that the actor for Paul Von Hartmann is rather attractive in my tastes, and I see the potential between him and Hugh Legat. I have read spoilers, and I don't like the way that that the Jewish character basically only exists to suffer so the men around her can feel sad and be drawn to action, which is a tired trope on two fronts, but overall, seems to be a decent watch.

Alright, that's it from me! Have a wonderful rest of the day, wherever you are.

Yay, I'm glad you're feeling inspired to write fic for so many different pieces of media! Munich: The Edge of War sounds interesting but frustrating-- I can't believe they're still doing the "female character exists to suffer" thing, especially for a Jewish female character :/
